I suppose some introduction is necessary to this site.
I started it as a place to host video game reviews, which I’ve written for fun before. I don’t expect a large audience. I really don’t expect an audience at all. To be honest, it’s just going to be a repository of my video game opinions in case I need to reference it later. Or perhaps a “previous writing” portfolio, in case I need to reference that later. Who knows.
I expect not to bother with any more posts like this where it’s just non-content. It’ll be all reviews soon, trust me. (I hope it will, anyway.) Enjoy what’s here, I guess.
Why the “wrong generation” theme? Seems pretty self explanatory. Despite not growing up with them, I at some point gained some strong interest in older video games, and like many other kids my age, became discontent with the fact I had, yes, grown up in the “wrong generation.” I don’t actually say so often, as there are some nice things I would miss out on if I had actually been born 40 years ago.
Point is, most retro game reviewers, or good ones anyway, seem to have a childhood connection with those games somewhat, and as such have a certain perspective. I lack this perspective, obviously, and so maybe my viewpoint might be interesting to some? Only time will tell on whether or not my content is any good though.
